A classic teen comedy from the 90s could soon find its way back to movie theaters soon, with a planned remake featuring a more diverse cast potentially getting the greenlight.

She's All That, which grossed $100 million worldwide after its release, is reportedly having a remake developed by the Weinstein Company and Miramax , with Kenny Leon attached to direct. It will also be produced by Tonya Lewis Lee under her Tonik Productions banner, though representatives for both Weinstein and Miramax have declined to confirm the rumors.

The original film starred Freddie Prinze Jr. as a high school jock who makes a bet with his buddy (Paul Walker) that he can turn a shy art student (Rachel Leigh Cook) into the high school's prom queen, with the new film set to follow the same premise but with more diverse leads attached to the project.

The original film did feature a more diverse supporting cast, which included Kevin Pollak, Matthew Lillard, Anna Paquin, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, Usher Raymond, Lil'Kim, Gabrielle Union, Dule Hill, Kieran Culkin, Elden Henson, Clea DuVall, Tim Matheson and Alexis Arquette.

The film is loosely based off of My Fair Lady and George Bernard Shaw's play, Pygmalion.

The movie is still considered a classic because of its high gross, despite receiving mostly unfavorable reviews from critics at the time of its release, with many claiming it was too predictable to ring true.

It was also heavily spoofed two years after its release in the 2001 comedy Not Another Teen Movie, starring Chris Evans, Eric Christian Olson and Chyler Leigh in the lead roles.
