The first official trailer for the second season of HBO's True Detective has been revealed, with stars Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch on full display.

Is 'True Detective' Part Of Vince Vaughn's New Dramatic Career?

The highways of Los Angeles comprise the first shot of the True Detective season 2 trailer and it's clear that we aren't in Louisiana anymore. The new one-minute trailer from HBO features footage of new stars Vaughn, McAdams, Farrell and Kitsch looking very serious and intense.

Farrell sports a thick mustache as his character Det. Ray Velcoro leers at Vaughn's career criminal Frank Semyon. McAdams looks tougher than we've ever seen her before as Dr. Ani Bezzerides. And Kitsch looks very paranoid playing Det. Paul Woodrough.

HBO's April Premieres Dates for 'Game of Thrones,' 'Veep,' Silicon Valley' & More

There is no dialogue at all in the trailer, with just a haunting new song playing as various images flash across the screen.

The trailer also reveals that the second season will be premiering on Sunday, June 21, giving diehard fans a concrete date to look forward to. The first season, which starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, debuted in the winter in 2014. The anthology series is expected to keep changing locations and characters every season while still being under the same umbrella of True Detective. Series creator Nic Pizzolatto has written all of the episodes, just as he did for season 1.
