Packers vs Texans Live Stream: Watch Online for Free @ 8:20 PM ET
The undefeated Houston Texans (5-0) will take on the underachieving Green Bay Packers (2-3) in Week 6 of Sunday Night Football action. One of the NFL's most surprising stories of 2012, the Texans are only one of two teams yet to be beaten this season along with the Atlanta Falcons (5-0). More shocking is the fact that the Packers are now being considered by many to be underdogs in the showdown, as the team currently sits below .500 in the win-loss column.
While the law of averages implies that Houston is bound to walk away with a loss at some point, they have built up a proven track record. The Texans did make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history last season and have continued to increasingly excel as a cohesive unit.
However, Green Bay will be no easy task. The Packers sported the league's best overall record last year and did win the Super Bowl just a couple seasons ago. A key factor in the game's outcome will be Green Bay's performance out of the back field. With Cedric Benson being put on the injured reserve/designated for return list, Alex Green is slated to be put in his place at running back. Past starter, James Starks hasn't played this season thus far due to a turf toe injury.
It is said that Coach Mike McCarthy will be going with a back by committee approach against Houston, as they'll use a combination of John Kuhn, Randall Cobb and Brandon Saine. With the Texans ranked #10 in the NFL at stopping the rush, the Packers will indeed have their work cut out for them against the Houston defense, which includes star J.J. Watt, nose tackle Shaun Cody and Antonio Smith.
