Survivor: Worlds Apart contestant Dan Foley has paid the price for many of his arguably insensitive comments on the show.

Jenn Contemplates Quitting The Game on 'Survivor'?

Dan has become one of the biggest characters on the current season of Survivor, but not necessarily in a good way. The show has focused on many of his worst moments out on the island, including bullying Shirin, making sexist comments about women and playing an overall poor social game, at least from what viewers have seen.

In the wake of the latest episode, many Survivor fans have lobbed negative comments his way. Almost every post the Survivor Facebook page makes is full of comments talking about Dan and how they want him gone.

Joe's Immunity Win Streak Ending on 'Survivor'?

The 48-year-old from Gorham, Maine spoke to the Portland Press Herald and discussed his behavior and the overall response from fans.

"I feel like I rubbed the genie's lamp and got my wish, but my wish wasn't well-worded," Dan said. "I spent so much time thinking about playing the game, I didn't give other things a lot of thought."

Dan's wife, Erin Foley, said that his more positive side has not been seen so far on the show, suggesting that the edit he is receiving is not balanced.

"You always know where you stand with Dan. He never says one thing and thinks another," she noted. "On the show, you're not hearing him talk about his positive feelings for people. If he thinks you're full of BS, he'll tell you that, man or woman. If he loves you, you're really going to know it."

Dan is one of the 10 remaining contestants on Survivor: Worlds Apart. While he received four votes at the last Tribal Council, he was saved by his alliance of seven. It remains to be seen if he will stay in the game until the end.

Survivor: Worlds Apart airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
