Cara Delevingne Reportedly Set To Star In 'Fifty Shades Darker' Sequel

On Sunday, the Mirror UK reported that Wikileaks obtained email exchanges from the singer's agent and Sony Pictures that confirm that the news is true.

In an email from Hollywood talent agency CAA, Ora's Agent Franklin Latt and Sony Pictures CEO Amy Pascal were able to reach an agreement that states that, "Rita, 23, will appear in Universal's upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey playing the role of Mia Grey and will appear in the next two installments of the movie."

'Fifty Shades of Grey' New 'Darker' Sequel Will Reportedly Begin Production Soon

The singer turned actress received a lot of backlash for her small part in the film, but despite that heat she says that starring in the film has opened a lot of doors for her.

"But for me this was such a great cameo to be involved in, and even though I'm only in it for a little bit, it's opened the door to a lot of movie things that I haven't actually announced yet."

While details about the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel have been up in the air, rumors online suggest that runway model Cara Delevingne could also be joining the cast.

After film director Sam Taylor Johnson quit the franchise due to an ongoing feud with author E.L. James, there have been a series of delays but it finally looks like production for the new film will be underway soon.

Universal has yet to announce an official release date for the new film but actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have been told to plan on an early 2016 shoot for a 2017 release.
