Ravens vs Texans, Live Stream, Watch NFL @ 1PM ET
In Week 7 NFL football action, the Baltimore Ravens (5-1) will look discontinue their declining defense woes when they face against the Houston Texans (5-1) at Reliant Stadium on Sunday afternoon. For the second straight week, the Ravens' defense performed below par despite pulling out a 31-29 win over the Dallas Cowboys. The Baltimore defenders gave up 227 yards rushing to the Cowboys but hung on to win the game when Dallas missed a 51-yard field goal attempt.
The victory was bittersweet, as the Ravens lost linebacker Ray Lewis and cornerback Lardarius Webb for the remainder of the season. Lewis tore his triceps while Webb tore his anterior cruciate ligament, with both injuries requiring surgery.
In terms of Baltimore's offense, QB Joe Flacco was 17-for-26 and threw for 234 yards and a touchdown while WR Anquan Boldin had five receptions for 98 yards.
After suffering their first loss of the season to the Green Bay Packers in Week 6, the Texans will look to get back on track in Week 7. Packers QB Aaron Rogers lit up the Houston defense for six touchdown passes in a 42-24 loss. However, the team is still coming to terms with the devastating loss of linebacker Brian Cushing, who tore his ACL two weeks ago.
Prior to Green Bay's performance, the Texans had only let up over 17 points in one other game this season. To top it off, the Houston defenders haven't allowed 40 points since the third week of the last NFL season.
On the offensive side for the Texans, QB Matt Schaub went 20-for-33 for 232 yards but gave up two interceptions. RB Adrian Foster struggled mightily rushing for a mere 29 yards on 17 carries.
