The New York Jets (3-3) will be taking on the New England Patriots (3-3) at Foxboro in Week 7 of Sunday competition. Both teams will look to get over the .500 mark hump, as they've both fallen short of expectations thus far. Oddly enough, both the Jets and Pats along with the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are still currently in a four-way tie for first place in the AFC East.

Both sides have shown obvious weaknesses as New York and Ray Sanchez have failed in the passing department and New England's defense has come up short against it. The Jets will likely attempt to emphasize their ground and pound game while the Patriots should rely on veteran QB Tom Brady to rack up the points early on.

Unfortunately for Rex Ryan's team, New York doesn't have the secondary manpower to halt the offensive weaponry of the Pats, which includes Welker, Lloyd, Hernandez, Ridley and Gronkowski. Also expected to play a crucial factor in the game will be New England's no huddle offense.

Concerned over their ability to use substitutions when Brady and the Pats shift into fast-tempo mode, the team reportedly spoke to the NFL in order to be certain that officials effectively enforce the substitution rules.

A member of the Jets' coaching staff elaborated to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN about the Jets' respective concern.

"We have already talked to the league office and Rex (Ryan) will be in the ref's ear about this all game."

In other notable news, Ryan recently shocked football fans when stating that he wouldn't be opposed to using highly-publicized backup QB Tim Tebow at running back. Interesting enough, the odds of the lefty passer appearing in the backfield seems to be more likely than him taking snaps. This is due to the fact that Tebow has struggled in his two most recent starts (while a Denver Bronco) against the Pats.
