The Oakland Raiders (1-4) will look to overcome a disappointing 23-20 loss to the Atlanta Falcons as they face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4) in Week 7, who have also struggled immensely. Arguably the NFL's worst team at the current time, the Jaguars are ranked last in passing yards per game and also sport an extremely poor rushing defense.

Although Jacksonville should be fairly rested after a bye in Week 6, they'll be going into their matchup with the Raiders without the services of outside linebacker Daryl Smith and wide receiver Laurent Robinson, who are injured.

A key factor for Oakland will be running back Darren McFadden, as he'll look to exploit Jacksonville's poor defense. McFadden's ground game was visibly improved last week against the Falcon's defense. Hence, the Raiders are expecting nothing less than 80 yards and 4 carries on the gridiron from the rusher in Week 7. Anything less would surely be considered a major disappointment.

A key factor for the Jaguars will be quarterback Blaine Gabbert. If the 23-year-old can dominate the Raiders' secondary, then he can put the points on the board needed to make up for any of his team's defensive woes.

At QB for Oakland will be the veteran Carson Palmer, who is on pace to throw a career-high 4,589 yards, but still has only six touchdown passes to show for it thus far. Despite Palmer's success, he must show improvement in the red zone, which would serve to maximize his offense.

Although both teams should more than likely not contend, Oakland is considered the favorite to prevail over Jacksonville. However, the Raiders must score early on and not give up costly turnovers to the well-rested Jaguars defense. Nonetheless, Jacksonville will need a strong performance on both sides of the pigskin in order to stay in the football game.
