Grey's Anatomy dropped a major bombshell last week when Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd was killed off, but his death will carry over into the special 2-hour episode airing tonight, April 30, which is not the end for the season just yet.

She's Leaving Home will focus on the other doctors learning of Derek's death as seen in the sneak peek clip below where Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) reveals the devastating news to Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone).

Owen asks the other doctors to leave the room that Amelia is in so he can speak to her privately.

"Did you need something?" she asks him, which leads to him saying, "Maybe we should have this conversation in my office."

It seems like Amelia is trying to brush him off, but he walks around behind her to come up alongside her so they can be facing each other after he shuts the door behind him.

The look on his face gives everything away as she asks, "Who died?"

"Amelia," he says softly as she goes on a little rant about that knowing look that bears horrible news.

"I know the face. I've been here before. Everyone thinks they are the first person in the world to look at a human being like that, but it's always the same face," she shares, before demanding, "Who is dead?"

"It's Derek," Owen reveals just above a whisper, but fans will have to tune in to see Amelia's reaction to the heartbreaking news.

In other Grey's Anatomy news about Derek's death, TV Line teased on Wednesday Dr. Meredith Grey's (Ellen Pompeo) best friend Dr. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) may or may not return for Derek's funeral and to be by Meredith's side as a form of support.

Grey's Anatomy airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
