News sources claim that Super Bass rapper Nicki Minaj will join forces with the cast of Barbershop 3 for a new role.
On Monday, Variety reported that the rapper will co-star in the New Line/ MGM film along Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer.
According to the site, "Bob Teitel and George Tillman Jr. of State Street Pictures are the lead producers. Malcolm D. Lee, who directed the "Best Man" movies, is directing "Barbershop 3″ from a script by Kenya Barris and Tracy Oliver."
Variety, which was the first to report the news, has confirmed that Minaj will play a hairdresser named Draya, presumably an employee under Regina Hall's character.
This isn't the first film the rapper has starred in. Back in 2014, she starred alongside Cameron Diaz in the romantic comedy The Other Woman and in 2012, she did the voice over for the character Sid in the animated film Ice Age: Continental Drift.
It's clear that the rapper has a lot to look forward to in the coming months. Aside from her new role, Nicki is also planning a wedding.
Back in April the rapper sparked engagement rumors after she shared a photo of a $500,000 diamond ring that was presumably given to her by her boyfriend Meek Mill were engaged.
The rumors first began when Nicki shared a photo posing along side her man while sporting some serious bling on her ring finger. Hours later came the Twitter post that read, "I'll post it later."
While fans were unsure if the bling was an engagement ring, Drake kind of confirmed the news when he congratulated his friend during a performance at Cochella.
