Tuesday night's episode of ABC's Dancing With the Stars arguably featured the most shocking elimination of the season, though the couple eliminated was not too surprised.

'DWTS' Pro Derek Hough Has Nothing But Positive Thoughts For Nastia Liukin

Nastia Liukin was eliminated on Dancing With the Stars Tuesday night, with many fans outraged. She and partner Derek Hough received the lowest number of votes from the audience combined with the judges scores.

Once considered one of the frontrunners in the competition, Liukin and Hough admitted that they were not shocked by the results and are essentially at peace with it.

Demi Moore Admits She Didn't Want Rumer Willis Competing on 'DWTS'

"I feel like that when we finished the dance, it felt a little bit like a final dance, a final moment and a beautiful moment," Hough told People Tuesday night. "So I think, for us, I'm not terribly surprised, but I'm very pleased. I can't believe what [Nastia's] accomplished."

Liukin expressed her gratitude at making it so far in the competition and being able to dance with Hough again, who had been sitting out the past few weeks due to injuries.

"I think after last night I just kind of felt like you know no matter what happened today I don't have any regrets," Liukin said. "And being able to dance with Derek one last time really meant a lot to me. It was such a special moment ... I was kind of hoping it wasn't that way, but it felt like a send-off moment."

Now, Rumer Willis, Riker Lynch and Noah Galloway are the final three celebs vying for the Mirrorball trophy. It is truly anyone's game at this point.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
