A date has finally been announced for new episodes of Switched at Birth.

According to Wednesday's report from The Wrap, the series will return on Monday, August 24 at 8 p.m. ET. And according to series creator, Lizzy Weiss, the new episodes are definitely going to be worth watching.

A lot about Switched at Birth remains a mystery on what's about to take place except for one important storyline- someone is going to wind up pregnant. As announced from Deadline, this child expectancy will come as a shock to everyone since it will not be a planned baby.

This could easily lead into a number of thought-provoking theories, involving what the woman plans to do about the pregnancy. If the baby belongs to Bay or Daphne, would either of them plan to keep it? Would they get an abortion? Would they consider adoption? Or perhaps, will the writers consider a miscarriage taking place?

Odds are likely that this storyline is going to take on some heavy emotions since it'll have a massive affect on the show's future.

The baby could potentially belong to Bay since she's been with Emmett for a while. But then again, she was the victim of a campus assault when Bay took advantage of her while she was drunk. Is the show going to go as far as Bay becoming pregnant from her attacker?

Fans will have to wait till August 24 to find out.
