Arrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim recently dished about how tensions built up in season 3 will be carrying forward to next chapter.

Season 3 Finale Leaves Fans Asking, 'How Can The Show Go On?'

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly dated May 12, Guggenheim stated that all won't be well between Oliver (Stephen Amell) and the rest of the team in season 4. Although Oliver supposedly reconciled with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (David Ramsey) in the finale of season 3, Guggenheim revealed that there will be friction between Oliver and Felicity. The executive producer said that the fact that Oliver had chosen to trust Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrownman) over Diggle and Felicity, and kept them "in the dark" will still linger on.

"The ramifications of those decisions are going to reverberate into season 4," Guggenheim said. "This is not a situation that can be easily wrapped up with an exchange of I'm sorrys. This is something our characters will be dealing with well into season 4."

H.I.V.E's Intensifying Attack On Starling City To Bring Oliver Back?

It seems like Diggle will be most mistrustful of Oliver going forward, Felicity has been more forgiving and understanding, it also helps that she has a romantic bond with him. It was also recently suggested that Oliver will be stepping it up and will be more there for Felicity in season 4, as she will be reeling from the death of Ray Palmer a.k.a. The Atom (Brandon Routh).

The announcement of Arrow's renewal for a fourth season was made earlier this month.

The finale of season 3, entitled 'My Name is Oliver Queen,' of Arrow aired on May 13 on The CW.
