Season 3 of Arrow restored fans' faith in Oliver (Stephen Amell) as he went up against Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) and tried to make amends with his old crew, albeit with some difficultly when it came to Diggle (David Ramsey).

Season 3 Finale Leaves Fans Asking, 'How Can The Show Go On?'

Moving forward, reports have already started to speculate what will motivate Oliver to come back to Starling City. ComicBook has obviously got its finger on the pulse as the return of Damian Darhk of H.I.V.E as the villain was set up in the finale. The pop culture website suggested that as Darhk and H.I.V.E will start to intensify their offensive against Starling City, Oliver will be compelled to return and fight the evil forces. Another motivation for Oliver is also the love of his life, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), who forgave him for defecting in the finale of season 3.

The report also states that Ray Palmer's supposed death will cause great hurt to Felicity, and Oliver might want to step it up for her in this moment of personal crisis.

'Epic' Finale Of Season 3 Of Arrow Is 'Very Definitive,' 'Feels Like The End'

Recently Ramsey also spoke to E! Onlineabout H.I.V.E's role in the next season.

"From my understanding, H.I.V.E. is going to be a big part of next season's big baddie...We are going to delve right into why H.I.V.E. hired Deadshot to kill Andy and what H.I.V.E. is all about to begin with. There will be a lot of Diggle's connection to H.I.V.E. next season so stay tuned."

The announcement of Arrow's renewal for a fourth season was made earlier this month.

The finale of season 3, entitled 'My Name is Oliver Queen,' of Arrow aired on May 13 on The CW.
