A recent report speculates the possibility of a Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 sequel or prequel citing the fact that Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss Everdeen in the films, would be on board.

First Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 Trailer To Release In June?

Venture Capital Post sourced Lawrence's quote from an story on her in Interview Magazine, in which she stated that she was very willing to come back if the producers were to create another Hunger Games movie. She joined in on the excitement surrounding the rumors of another movie: "I know, right? I would totally do it."

Although this seems unlikely as Part 2 concludes the series, as it is based on the last in the books that Suzanne Collins wrote, there has been some talk of trying to keep the spirit of the franchise going in some form.

Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 To Be 'Thematically Very Different'

Earlier this year, Den of Geek reported that after a new round of calls with investors the search for new stories to continue with the series is on. According to the publication, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer stated that they were looking for sequel or prequel possibilities. He said that they were "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities" for >The Hunger Games.

He went on to add that they were inspired by Warner Bros. move to do something more with the Harry Potter series.

The movie is the fourth and final installment in the Hunger Games series of films. The first was The Hunger Games, followed by Hunger Games: Catching Fire, followed by Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.

Part 2 also stars Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellark, Liam Helmsworth as Gale Hawthorne, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy, and Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin.

The movie will hit theaters on Nov. 20.
