The cast of Supernatural will head back in front of the cameras before this summer's San Diego Comic-Con.

'Supernatural' Season 11: Episode Order Revealed, How Many Times Will The Winchesters Appear?

Jensen Ackles (Dean) and Jared Padalecki (Sam) are currently enjoying their summer hiatus, but the duo will be back to work starting in early July. This comes as good news for any Comic-Con attendees who are hoping the series may produce a follow up to last year's nerve-wracking sneak peek (see video below).

"We will get a little shooting in before SDCC... not too many though!" co-executive producer Jim Michaels informed fans on Monday.

'Supernatural' Season 11: Will Jared Padalecki Return? Rumors Cleared Up With Statement

The highly anticipated Con will take places from July 9-12 and usually places Supernatural's panel on the final day. Could a brief week or so of filming be enough time for the cast and crew to turn out a clip akin to last year's Demon Dean bunker scene? We sure hope so.

The season 10 finale left Sam, Dean, Cas (Misha Collins), and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) in dire straights. As the Winchester brothers hunkered down in the Impala to weather the Darkness' initial onslaught, Cas struggled to fight Rowena's guard dog spell that would compel him to kill the King of Hell. It's quite the cliffhanger, and a little tidbit to tide fans over from July though October would be more than appreciated.
