To say that Sarah Paulson is excited about working with Lady Gaga in FX's American Horror Story would be an understatement.

Paulson recently spoke with E! News about co-starring in American Horror Story: Hotel with Gaga. The AHS veteran hasn't met Gaga yet, but a freakout is expected.

"The highlight of my life probably ever was when she tweeted me," Paulson said of Gaga. "People started texting me going, 'Oh my god!'"

Paulson is still not over Gaga tweeting about how she "can't wait to work with Sarah Paulson" on the horror anthology series. She was especially honored that Gaga tweeted a photo of Paulson as her AHS: Asylum character Lana Winters, which is her favorite role.

"I have had contact with Lady Gaga! Have you?!" Paulson quipped. "I'm very excited. I'm gonna cry!"

As for scoop on what Paulson will be doing in Hotel, it has already been announced that she's playing "the baddest bad girl," though the actress won't say much more.

"I'm the baddest girl in town, that's all I can say," she said. "It's a first for me! I've never really played a character with the real dark side, so I'm excited."

It is still not known what type of character Gaga will be playing either. The entire season has been shrouded in secrecy for now but once filming starts this summer, it's possible that we will learn more information.

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres in October on FX. A premiere date has not been officially announced by the network.
