We are getting to hear about developments on Transformers 5 from the writer's room, which keeps expanding.

A Bumblebee Spin-off Is In The Works?

A new Collider report infers that the Transformers series might line up 12 sequels given it has the same number of writers on the team. Akiva Goldsman, who is heading the team stated that they were looking to work on numerous movies, in a recent interview.

The most recent additions to the team for Transformers 5 have been two great female writers, Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer. Hodson has worked on films like The Fugitive, The Eden Project, and Shut In, in the past. Beer has projects like Dig, Short Circuit and How to Nail An Alien under her belt. She is currently working on the reboot of The Wizard of Oz. As the Deadline report suggests that it is no boys room for theTransformers franchise, it will be very interesting to see what Hodon and Beer bring to the table. We are hoping for a refreshing perspective in the movies, which have been quite testosterone fueled in the past, with the female characters being of a waifish nature.

Will Megan Fox Join The Age of Extinction Sequel?

The other writers on the team are Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk), Jeff Pinker (Lost), Art Marcum and Matt Holloway (Iron Man), Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man), Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet.

Transformers: Age of Extinction hit theaters on June 27, 2014.
