The Cape Cod-inspired home also offers a slew of attractive outdoor amenities. The property faces the ocean and includes a beach-front deck, sprawling lawn area, fire pit and separate gardens.

Before putting the home on the market to be sold, DiCaprio was offering the house for rental. The price tag was $150,000 for renters who wanted to take the home for six months or less, but those would wanted to stay longer than half a year could get a cut rate of only $75,000 per month.

The rental ad played up the home's amenities and characterized it as a chance for anyone to see how a celebrity lives.

"DiCaprio just completed a beautiful remodel in time for summer and is now ready to lease the home out to someone who wants a temporary taste of how the stars live," the ad said. ''Unique to a home right on the water, DiCaprio's home has beautiful gardens and lawns. Consider it a beach-front luxury compound.''
