The Manchester United Club will make the trek to Villa Park on Saturday to take on the underdog Ashton Villa in a Premier League matchup.  

The game will present an opportunity for the Red Devils to build on their first place cushion atop the league tables.  The football club sits just one point up on Chelsea and two points ahead of Manchester City heading into the weekend.

On the other hand, Ashton Villa's performance has been a disappointment to say the least.  The Villans currently find themselves in 17th place, which is only one spot above the regulation zone.  Although Ashton Villa is still four points above the No. 18 Reading, the match against Man United gives them a chance to pull out an upset that they can build momentum on.

Since the beginning of Premier league competition, the Villans have only been victorious in three out of its 40 matches against Man United.  In order to overturn that outcome, the Villans must play a conservative style on defense, in which they can minimize the Red Devils' superb attack.  The club must also keep the pressure on goalkeeper Brad Guzan and maximize their shots on goal. 

On a positive note for Ashton Villa, Gabby Agbonlahor, who has the second most lifetime goals against Man United, will be on the pitch for the Villans.

The Red Devils have been led by the torrid play of Robin Van Persie, who has scored eight goals.  However, he isn't the only piece of offensive weaponry for Man United, who also receive strong support out of players such as Shinji Kagawa and Javier Hernandez.
