Claire (Caitriona Balfe) has a husband two centuries away, and it appears Jamie (Sam Heughan) has a former love interest across the English Channel. Could an old flame rekindle when the Highlander and his sassenach cross paths with the Parisian Annalise de Marillac?
Margaux Chatelier will take on the role of Annalise, according to TV Line, and the French actress will soon jump into filming for season 2.

Annalise de Marillac is just one of many, many new players the time traveler and her husband will encounter as they attempt to stem the impending Jacobite rising. From Jamie's own cousin to Claire's medical acquaintances, Outlander will be flooded with new faces and intriguing stories as the series shifts focus from the rugged mountains of Scotland to the crowed streets of Paris.
Some of these additions include Monsieur Joseph Duverney (Marc Duret), Master Raymond (Dominique Piñon), Mary Hawkins (Rosie Day), Jared Fraser (Robert Cavanah), Le Comte St. Germain (Stanley Weber), Bonnie Prince Charlie (Andrew Gower), Fergus (Romann Berrux), and Sister Angelique (Audrey Brisson).
