The second day of Steam's Summer Sale is under way, bringing a new batch of discounts to PC gamers everywhere.

YouTube Gaming Streaming Service Announced

Today's games (which will change again at 1 p.m. Eastern tomorrow) seem to be a better selection than yesterday's deals. There's a really good mix of major titles and indie or early access games--everyone should find something appealing.

There are some great titles on sale today, particularly games that are not traditional blockbusters. Transistor and The Banner Saga, two fantastic indie titles, are both only $4.99. Fable Anniversary, a remastering of the original game, is $8.74. There's a Civilization franchise sale, and in a similar vein, fantasy strategy title Endless Legend is $17.50.

The sale will run from June 11-21, with new deals every day. Flash sales on specific games will also change every 12 hours, offering a constant rotation of cheap offers. The real challenge is not spending all of your money on games you might play, but it's tough not to jump on great offers.

The Summer Sale is gaming overload for many, and a great way to grab titles you may have had to pass on earlier in the year (or years past) for cheap. It's not the only promotional sale Valve runs during the year, but it's definitely the biggest. Check back every 12 hours--or at least once a day--for the new deals. Steam is also running a Monster Summer Game you can participate in to create new discounts (details for that here).
