Barbara Walters was shocked on Monday when she found out that Lindsay Lohan is scheduled to sit down for an interview with Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" next week.

This news was shocking to Walters because the troubled star had just canceled her interview with the TV journalist.

The news broke on Friday that Lohan would no longer be doing in interview with Walters because her new PR team was unhappy with the direction the interview was going to go.

On Friday NBC released its listings for "The Tonight Show," which included an upcoming appearance by Lohan on Nov. 20.

"If they'd said to me, 'She isn't up for the kind of questions you might ask'...if they had told me that, I wouldn't feel quite as disappointed as I do today," Walters said on Monday's "The View."

"I wish Lindsay the best," Walters continued.

"We would have done a wonderful interview. I hope she feels well. As far as Jay goes, I love Jay, more power to him."

On Monday's "The View," Walters showed some of the footage shot over the summer while the Lifetime production was taking place, since the interview with Lohan was canceled.

In the clip, Lohan was dressed as Elizabeth Taylor, explaining the incident where paramedics were called to her hotel room while she was sleeping,

"I think I was just honestly tired," Lohan said to Walters at the time, when she was reportedly found unconscious back in June.

"I needed a nap for 15 minutes and then there were seven paramedics in a room so imagine how I felt," Lohan said.
