We know about Paula Broadwell and her involvement in an FBI investigation regarding her affair with the head of the CIA, David Petraeus, but who is Dr. Scott Broadwell?

Scott and Paula live in Dilworth, a part of Charlotte, N.C., with their two sons Lucien, 6, and Landon, 4. They moved to Charlotte about three years ago, according to The New York Times. An interventional radiologist -a specialty that uses minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat disease- Scott is on the staff of Charlotte Radiology, according to The Daily Beast.

The 43-year-old is board certified in interventional radiology and vascular radiology, and he completed his residency at the University of Colorado Health Service. He graduated in 1996 from the George Washington University, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, based on Healthgrades.com.

Scott met Paula, 40, in Germany where they were both stationed during their time in the military, according to The Week. They were celebrating Paula's 40th birthday in Virginia when the news of the affair broke on Friday, resulting in Petraeus resigning from his position. The couple stayed at a luxurious inn in Virginia starting Thursday but abruptly let on Saturday morning, canceling a birthday party planned for Paula that evening.

Both Scott and his wife have made no comments to the media regarding the scandal.

Paula called her and her husband "adventure junkies" in an interview with The Charlotte Observer, and she said Scott took care of their two children so she can do research on the Petraeus book she was writing, according to The International Business Times. Broadwell and Petraeus spent much time together as Broadwell collected information for her book "All In: The Education of General David Petraeus." Petraeus told friends the affair began in August of 2011 after he left the army, according to ABC News.

Scott was so supportive of his wife's writings that he appeared with her back in January on "The Daily Show" when she touring to promote her book. He did push-ups alongside comedian Jon Stewart to benefit Team Red, White & Blue, a group that aids wounded veterans and their families.
