Hannibal is making the jump to Saturdays on NBC.

'Hannibal' Season 3: Bryan Fuller Talks Hulu Prospect, Hugh Dancy Hints At Film For Canceled Series

The ill-fated series started season 3 in the 10 p.m. ET Thursday time slot, but Dr. Lecter and his blood-spattered adventures will slide to the weekend for the second half of season 3, according to TV Line.

This is not a surprising move for NBC, particularly since it failed to reup Hannibal for a fourth year. Slipping ratings are to blame, but that doesn't exactly explain why the recently renewed Aquarius is moving to Saturdays as well.

Despite the move, Hannibal still has plenty of exciting plot to dish out in its final episodes. The debut of the Red Dragon is right around the corner, and San Diego Comic-Con attendees received an early look at Francis Dolarhyde (Richard Armitage).

The Toothy Fairy's story line will kick off in episode 8, which is appropriately titled "The great Red Dragon." In the meantime, however, the hunt for Hannibal will come to a close during "Digestivo."

"Captured in Italy by police on Mason Verger's payroll, Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) are delivered to Muskrat Farm to await Mason's (Joe Anderson) revenge," NBC said of episode 7.

Catch Hannibal this Saturday at 10 p.m. ET.
