After ensuring their advancement into the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid will now set their sights on the La Liga once again.  Nonetheless, the performance that the football club put up against Manchester City during the middle of the week wasn't one to skipper Jose Mourinho's satisfaction, especially since it was his 100th UEFA Champions League game as the league's youngest manager.

The lackluster play out of Madrid's midfield and the team's failure to take the top spot in the tables was a less than ideal scenario, to say the least.  However, Mourinho can take comfort in the fact that his squad has won the Champions League on both occasions where they've finished second during the group stages.

The coach would welcome the continued resurgence of both Sami Khedira and Fabio Coentrao along with their optimal fitness.  While Khedira has seemed to squander when certain opportunities present themselves, his mere presence in the midfield was a void that needed to be filled.  Fortunately for Mourinho's team, there are no new injury concerns outside of Marcelo and Gonzalo Higuain.

In terms of the front, Jose Callejon will likely take over for Di Maria, who failed to perform effectively in Real Madrid's matchup with Manchester City.  However, the remainder of the front three will stay as is, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema making the start.  Benzema's rapid return to form after an injury has the team confident in their attack against Betis.
