The Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) are hoping that two familiar players can assist them in rebounding from their first loss in over a month. With veteran Charlie Batch getting the start at quarterback and the return of Plaxico Burress, the Steelers will look to continue their dominance over a struggling Cleveland Browns (2-8) team on Sunday.

While Pittsburgh is currently sitting pretty in the wild-card race, a lot of concern still remains due to their slew of injuries. Already without star safety Troy Polamalu, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will miss his second straight start with a dislocated first rib and a sprained right shoulder.

To top it off, backup signal caller Byron Leftwich is also on the shelf after suffering a broken rib in the Steelers' 13-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Enter Batch, who sports a 5-2 record when filling in for Roethlisberger over the past decade. In his last start, the 37-year-old was 15 of 22 for 208 yards in a 27-0 victory over the St. Louis Rams on Dec 24.

In his only previous start against the Browns, Batch was 13 of 19 and threw for 150 yards with a rushing touchdown in a 34-21 home win on Nov. 13, 2005.

"Charlie's a great quarterback, and he's been in the league for some time now," cornerback Keenan Lewis told ESPN.

"He knows the offense upside down (inside out), so if we have to rely on Charlie, we know he could get in there and win games," he added.

If wide receiver Antonio brown is out of action for a third straight game with a bad ankle, Batch could very well be throwing to Burress. The 35-year-old inked a deal to return to the Steelers on Tuesday in order to provide aid to an ailing receiving corps.

Burress compiled two 1,000-yard seasons while with Pittsburgh from 2000 - 2004. While playing for the New York Jets in 2011, he had 45 receptions for 612 yards and was tied for the team lead with eight touchdowns.
