On the verge of their third potential loss, the Chicago Bears (7-3) are in dire need of a Jay Cutler return, whose playing status still remains questionable. With the quarterback's health still up in the air, the Bears may have to depend on second stringer Jason Campbell to perform more effectively in his second start, which would come against the Minnesota Vikings (6-4) on Sunday at Soldier Field.

Cutler would like to comeback from a concussion he suffered at home in a 13-6 loss at the hands of the Houston Texans two weeks ago. The signal caller sat out Monday's 32-7 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers while Campbell struggled with just one touchdown, two interceptions and six sacks.

The inconsistency out of Campbell had offensive coordinator Mike Tice pulling for Cutler to return against the Vikings, according to ESPN.

"God, I hope (he can play). I do, I really do. Not anything against Jason. Jason did a remarkable job based on the opportunities he was afforded. We've got to get our guy back."

Cutler was given the green light to practice on a minimal basis, but still must be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to take the field on Sunday.

"You trust the doctors and our training staff that we're going to make the right decision for my health, not only in the near future but in my lifetime going forward. I think everyone's perspective has changed (regarding concussions) because there is just more awareness, there is more information."

"(But) it's not going to change the way I play football. It's not going to change my desire to return to the field by any means," Cutler added.
