Giants vs Packers [Live Stream FREE] Watch NFL Online @ 8:20 PM ET
Although no quarterback in the NFL has been sacked more times, Green Bay Packers' superstar Aaron Rogers continues to throw balls into the end zone at an astronomical rate. On the other hand, it has been a different story for the New York Giants (6-4), who are hoping that their signal caller Eli Manning can avoid a career-high fourth straight game without a single touchdown pass.
The injury-ridden Green Bay Packers (7-3) will look to compile their sixth consecutive win on Sunday night when they visit the defending Super Bowl champion Giants.
The Packers' positive momentum has pushed them to the top of the NFC North, as they now sit in a tie with the Chicago Bears, while the Giants still sit atop the East despite losing two straight matchups.
"Both teams this weekend, the last two Super Bowl winners, play. Each is in the lead in their division. So it's got a tremendous and exciting format," New York coach Tom Coughlin told ESPN.
The two clubs battled it out in the divisional playoffs last season when Manning threw for three touchdowns and 330 yards to give the Giants a 37-20 upset victory over the then 15-1 Packers.
"I think you learn that it's all about playing the right way at the right time and we didn't play our best football and they did. They were the better team and they won, and that's why they moved on," Rogers said.
Rogers has thrown for 27 touchdowns while being picked off just six times this season. However, the star QB has also been sacked a league leading 32 times. Nonetheless, he came through under pressure yet again last Sunday by throwing a 22-yard touchdown to Randall Cobb with just 1:55 remaining in a 24-20 win against Detroit. The 2011-12 MVP currently leads the league with a 107.3 passer rating.
