Deadline reported that Cody has signed on to co-star with Nicolas Cage in USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage, which is a World War II film.

Tom Sizemore, Thomas Jane, Matt Lanter and Brian Presley are also set to star in the film.

Cage will be playing the part of Captain Charles Butler McVay who helmed a ship, called the USS Indianapolis, delivering the first atomic bombs and was torpedoed in the South Pacific in July 1945. Walker will be playing one of the crewmen aboard the ship.

The 26-year-old actor had expressed interest in pursuing acting as a career after his stint with helping finish Paul's character arc in Furious 7.

New York Daily News had previously reported that the actor was looking for new roles in the movies. Cody's manager Matt Luber revealed that his career was in "its beginning stages" and that he was "open to all types of roles" at this point.

The most interesting bit of information Luber gave away was that Cody might be keen on working in Fast and Furious 8 if the producers were interested in signing him on.

"I'm not sure if they are going to make an eighth movie, but if they did, I'm sure he would entertain a conversation (about a role)," he told NY Daily News.

Fast and Furious 8 will premiere on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
