Wedding bells will be rocking soon for Nikki Sixx.

The Motley Crue bassist and model Courtney Bingham are engaged.

The couple, who have dated for the past two years, spent a vacation weekend in the Caribbean where Sixx popped the question after a romantic evening together on the beach.

Bingham announced the big news on her Twitter account saying, "I'm so excited to share with you that @NikkiSixx and I are engaged!!!!!! Thank you for all the kind wishes!!! Xoxo."

The 53-year-old bassist posted his own message on Facebook: "When Courtney and I were in St Bart's I popped the question and she said YES....We would like to thank everybody who has been tweeting and posting online us congratulations....Both of us and our families are beyond happy....."

Since their engagement began, the 27-year-old model has been seen showing off her ring, which TMZ believed to be topped with a 6-carat diamond.

Sixx has two previous marriages. The first marriage to Playboy's Brandi Brandt ended in 1996 after seven years and the couple shares three children. The second was to Donna D'Errico and ended in 2007. Sixx and D'Errico share one daughter.

The bassist was one of the founding members of the heavy metal band along with drummer Tommy Lee. They were later joined by Mick Mars and Vince Neil. The band released an autobiography titled "Motley Crue: The Dirt - Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band," which has sold 80 million copies worldwide.

Motley Crue is best known for their songs "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Kickstart My Heart," among many others.

Earlier in the year Motley Crue performed during a residency at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas when they announced that they are working on their tenth studio album
