Just before dawn on Friday, most spiritualists prepared to bring in a new age while some others entertained the thought of the world ceasing to exist as one knows it. Nonetheless, planet Earth is still here and the 5,125-year Mayan calendar cycle has come to an end.

While predictions regarding the end of the world on Dec. 21 through the Mayans' calendar have long been spoken about, many are understandably begging to differ. Hence, the million-dollar question on the minds of all is whether or not the theory on the apocalypse will be proven correct?

Although the ancient Mayans had forecasted the end of the world, many people are carrying on as if nothing will take place. While there are a majority of individuals who do take the notion seriously, several experts still continue to dispute it.
