Actress Trina McGee finally opens up on controversial moments she experienced on the set of the sitcom "Boy Meets World" and the real reason she left before it ended.

Trina McGee debuted in her first recurring television role as Angela Moore in the coming-of-age sitcom "Boy Meets World " in 1997. She, later on, reprised her role in an episode for the 2015 sequel series, "Girl Meets World".

In a recent episode on the "Pod Meets World", a podcast hosted by the sitcom alums, McGee reunited with former co-stars Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong. The 53-year-old actress opened up about her unpleasant experiences on set, which came as a surprise to the "BMW" alums.

"I was told, in kind of a weird, off-handed way by a very important person, that you guys all went to [showrunner] Michael Jacobs, and you said, 'We don't want her in the last episode. She's somehow taking our light,' was the gist of it," McGee explained to her former co-stars. "I was told that after I shot what was the show before the last episode, which was called 'Angela's Ashes' when I left."

After hearing McGee's side, the three "BMW" alums expressed their shock and clarified that they did not feel that way during their time at "Boy Meets World". Notably, host Will Friedel expressed his outrage and stated that the discrimination was "sociopathy". Trina acknowledged their reactions and revealed that while she believed the trio, the experience had been "hurtful" for her for years.

Racism During Her Time on Set?

Further explaining the discrimination she experienced, Trina recalled a moment with showrunner Michael Jacobs, when the latter had asked her to "turn down" her "black meter" in a way that she had immediately understood.

"The real tragedy in all of it is the years that went by that we didn't talk about it because I really kept it," McGee explained. "But that's not my entire experience on the show. It's not a racial issue. It's more of a trust, friendship, at the time where we were, and you guys kinda being snot kids."

McGee's Exit from 'Boy Meets World'

McGee's character, Angela Moore, became a series regular on "Boy Meets World", but was allegedly asked to leave during the second to last episode. McGee further expressed her thoughts on her silent exit from the series.

In an attempt to mask Trina McGee's exit from "Boy Meets World", her character, Angela, was written off as suddenly leaving with her father to move to Europe.
