When the Dominican Republic team arrives in San Francisco on Monday, payback against the Netherlands isn't on the top of its list, but winning the 2013 World Baseball Baseball Classic.

However, it just so happens that the club currently standing in its way in its quest for the respective crown is indeed the Netherlands.  The two countries will square off against each other in the second WBC semifinal at AT&T Park.

The Dominican Republic is looking for retribution against the Netherlands side after being upset in 2009, when the latter team mustered out a shocking victory and eliminated the Dominicans to advance past the first round in the Classic.

"I wouldn't call it a debt.  You have to forget what happened in the past," Dominican second baseman Robinson Cano told MLB.

The Dominican Republic had earned a day off on Sunday after prevailing against the Puerto Ricans via score of 2-0 the previous day at Marlins Park.

Puerto Rico shut out Japan in a 3-0 game on Sunday to advance into the championship and will take on the winner of the aforementioned matchup.
