"The Voice" had stiff competition on Monday, Dec. 3, when the top six finalists performed two songs each for their mentors.

Cee Lo Green's act Trevin Hunte was one of the highlights of the episode. Hunte, 18, received a standing ovation and rave reviews from all four judges for his rendition of "And I Am Telling You."

Hunte said he chose the song because he wants to "show America that I'm not going anywhere."

Green was sick last week and couldn't personally mentor his two acts, so he recruited Train singer Pat Monahan to help Hunte and his other act. Green coached over the phone and was not present for the live performance round.

After Hunte performed Jennifer Hudson's hit, Monahan said, "I hope Jennifer [Hudson] never hears that because she will quit the business."

Adam Levine said Hunte had an "incredible, God-given voice," and added that his rendition of the "Dreamgirls" soundtrack song was "one of the best performances I've seen on the show, seriously maybe ever."

Blake Shelton described it as "incredible," that it was a "full two minute moment" because Trunte "didn't hold back," and it was "full on Trevin."

"There's something about you that's so magical," said Christina Aguilera, adding that she was so happy "to enjoy the beginning of [Trevin's] career." She then told him that if, for some reason, he didn't get a record deal, she'd personally take him on tour with her and take him "under [her] wing."

Green was so proud of his act that he asked for "a moment of silence to mourn the loss of the entire competition." He said that it was "so remarkable" and told the 18-year-old "thank you so much for blessing me today."

"The Voice" returns Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC with the top 6 live results show. Matchbox 20 and Ne-Yo will perform.
