Hawaii Five-0 will bring Jerry Rice to paradise for season 6.

'Hawaii Five-0' Season 6: Danny Becomes Too 'Protective' Of McGarrett, McDanno Story Promised

The 49ers' hall of famer will run into the team in episode 4, according to Entertainment Weekly, and Rice will play himself. Don't worry, however, the NFL star won't be on Five-0's radar. Instead, he will run into McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) team after they've put the case of the week to bed.

"Jerry Rice is an NFL legend, as well as just an outstanding gentleman, and we are so glad to have him join the Five-0 ohana for this episode," showrunner Peter Lenkov informed Entertainment Weekly. "And considering McGarrett and Chin's [Daniel Dae Kim] former glory days of high school football and the team's annual football games, perhaps Jerry can give them a few pointers."

This isn't the first time Five-0 has thrown a famous cameo into the finale minutes of an episode. From chefs to athletes, viewers have been treated to several surprise guests over the last five years.

Hawaii Five-0 will open the fall season with Adam (Ian Anthony Dale) and Kono's (Grace Park) wedding reception, which will be followed by nothing less than a search for buried treasure. The legend of some long lost pirate booty will fold into the team's premiere case, and Five-0 will have to figure out if 'X' really does mark the spot.
