Frankie Muniz has suffered a recent health scare. The actor and musician reportedly suffered from a minor stroke that required him to be hospitalized on Friday.

Muniz, whose 27th birthday is on Dec. 5, took to Twitter to talk about the incident.

"Malcolm in the Middle" star Frankie Muniz tweeted that he was hospitalized Friday for a "mini-stroke."

"I was in the hospital last Friday. I suffered a 'Mini Stroke,' which was not fun at all. Have to start taking care of my body! Getting old!" Muniz tweeted.

The former "Malcolm in the Middle" star currently plays drums for the band Kingsfoil. Muniz's stroke has not interfered with the band's upcoming tour dates with their next appearance taking place in Teaneck, N.J. on Dec. 9.

It's unknown at this time exactly what caused the stroke or what is Muniz's current health condition.

The actor had some trouble with police in Arizona in Feb. 2011 when authorities were called to his Phoenix home after he allegedly hit his girlfriend and put a gun to his own head. Muniz denied the allegations that he struck his girlfriend and said he was not suicidal as he picked up the gun case instead of the gun itself, according to Yahoo News.

Muniz rose to fame during his time on the Fox hit comedy series "Malcolm in the Middle" which starred "Breaking Bad" actor Bryan Cranston as his father. The show ran for six years and ended in 2006.

Muniz is also known for his roles in two "Agent Cody Banks" films as well as "Big Fat Liar" with Amanda Bynes and Paul Giamati.

His last television appearance was on ABC's comedy "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" where he played himself.
