Celtic vs Spartak Moscow in the Champions League takes place on Wednesday in what promises to be a frantic finale to the group stages. With Celtic and Benfica stuck on 7 points and tied for second place, it all goes down to the final game to see whether the Portuguese or Scottish team will go through to the knock out stages of Europe's premium competition. The game will kick off at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through a free live stream by clicking here.

Celtic come into this game knowing that only a win will realistically give them a chance of qualifying – and that also may not be enough. They have to better Benfica's result to go through, as they are currently level on points, but Benfica have the advantage as they have the better head to head record between the two teams – meaning if they are level on points at the end of today's games the Portuguese side will go through.

Spartak Moscow are already eliminated and have not even got a chance for third place, which would give a spot in the Europa League. That could mean they have little more motivation other than to give a good showing of themselves – potentially meaning Celtic could have an easier game than if Spartak had something to play for other than pride. But that may be giving Spartak less credit than they deserve.

Even if that thought does give Celtic fans some comfort, they should remember Barcelona also have nothing to play for today – they have already qualified and are guaranteed the top spot in the group, meaning they, like Spartak, are likely to field an altered side. However, that probably works into Benfica's favor as if both sides gain an easy win then Benfica are through.

Some again would say that is not giving enough credit to Barcelona, and others are also pointing out that a second-string Barcelona side is still better than most first team sides in Europe.

With so many permutations this should make for an explosive finale to the group stages of the Champions League in Group G. The game kicks off at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream by clicking the link here.
