Now, if only Peggy and Jarvis knew what Darkforce was, or better yet, what it looked like. No worries, we're sure they'll figure it out before the government attempts to (mis)use it as a new energy source.

"They don't know, when they come into contact with it, they don't know what it is. Is it a new element?" executive producer Michele Fazekas told Comic Book Resources.

Able to take on the appearance of a solid, a liquid, or smoke, Darkforce has the ability to create new heroes and villains, including Cloak and Agents of SHIELD's Blackout. It is unknown which form the mysterious power will take when it arrives on the scene in Hollywood, but post-war America's scientists might stumble across it as they dive into the prospect of nuclear energy.

"It affects different people differently, which we liked, and we liked putting something like that in 1947. And actually, trying to give it a scientific explanation -- what is it? And Peggy wants to know the same thing, what is it?" Fazekas teased.
