After facing a nasty divorce with spouse, Michelle Rounds, her teenage daughter went missing. She was eventually found, which was good news, but unfortunately the grief isn't stopping there.

On Monday, USA Today announced that the father of the TV personality died. Edward Joseph O'Donnell reportedly died from cancer at the age of 81.

He worked as an electrical engineer and later worked as an aerospace electrical engineer.

The comedian took to her Twitter page to post a photo of an artistic cross that seems to represent her love for her father.

Apparently, O'Donnell had a distant relationship with her father growing up. After her mother died of cancer when she was a kid, her dad seemed to be away from his children.

The star spoke up about her father a few years ago where she mentioned that despite what happened decades ago, she can't stay mad forever.

"You get to be 50-years-old, you can't still be angry at what your father did in 1970," she said. "You have to work it out for yourself and find a place for it in your life and not rehash it forever."

When her daughter Chelsea went missing, she was found at the home of a man named Steven Sheerer. He was reportedly arrested and charged with distributing obscenity to a minor as well as "inappropriate" communications with a minor.
