And the excuses just keep rolling in. Kristen Taekman's husband says he was "foolish" to have opened an Ashley Madison account while maintaining that he has never cheated on his model wife. The Real Housewives of New York star's husband Josh apparently joined the infidelity website as his private information was discovered as part of the hacking leak.
According to Us Weekly on Tuesday, all seems to be forgiven though as Josh has not only apologized for opening the account, but also says that he and Kristen will be "working past" this issue together. The site claims that it is the world's leading married dating service for "discreet" encounters.
He said in a statement, "I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family. We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives."
The Eboost founder allegedly spent thousands of dollars on an account to have secret affairs behind his wife's back. Apparently, he paid for 62 different transactions.
But on Monday, Josh denied the reports, suggesting that it's all a huge misunderstanding and that this might be a simple case of identity theft.
Josh, who shares two children with former model Kristen, said, "I don't understand. There's not a shot in hell that I'm a subscriber. I have no knowledge of that. This is the first I've ever heard of it. This is crazy. I saw it on the TV the other day about the security breach and we were laughing about it. It is what it is but somebody is definitely fraudulently using my name and number."
