Taylor Swift received her first Golden Globe nomination Thursday for her song featured on "The Hunger Games" soundtrack. 

"Safe and Sound," was nominated for an award the same day that the singer turned 23. The Grammy winner is also expected to release her music video for "I Knew You Were Trouble," which she said follows the corruption of a "good girl," on Thursday.

She released a statement expressing her joy over the nomination:

"What an amazing and unexpected present! This is a huge honor, and I'm really excited and so flattered. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association!" 

Keith Urban was nominated for "For You," the song he co-wrote for the NAVY SEAL drama film "Act of Valor," and Adele was honored for the theme song she co-wrote for the James Bond movie "Skyfall." Other best original song nominees included Jon Bon Jovi, who wrote "Not Running Anymore" for the film "Stand Up Guys," and Claude-Michel Schoneber and Alain Boubil for their "Les Miserables" score "Suddenly."

In terms of film nominations, Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" lead with seven nods. Ben Affleck's political thriller "Argo" and Quentin Tarantino's as-yet-released "Django Unchained" tied in second place, each receiving five nominations.

"Les Miserables," "Zero Dark Thirty," and "Silver Linings Playbook" together came in third place for most nominations with four nods each.

The 70th Annual Golden Globes will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. It will be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills and air live on Sunday, Jan. 13, at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST on NBC.

Swift's music video for "I Knew You Were Trouble" will premiere Thursday at 4:40 p.m. ET on MTV.
