Simon Cowell has finally admitted that he is dating Carmen Electra. But the "X Factor" judge also made it clear that they're not boyfriend and girlfriend.

Cowell appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio program on Wednesday and when asked if the rumored couple were dating he replied: "She's not my girlfriend. We're people who date. She's adorable, isn't she?"

The pair first met when Electra filled in as a guest judge on "Britain's Got More Talent" earlier this year. Since then they have been photographed together hanging out at various locations while Cowell has been in Los Angeles shooting "The X Factor."

Cowell was asked in November the status of his relationship with Electra. His reply? "Maybe...." Cowell told Access Hollywood.

Electra addressed the dating rumors during her appearance on Access Hollywood Live in November.

She was coy in her daytime interview with the show's hosts Billy Bush and Kit Hoover. She admitted that she and the British mogul were "friends" and that she's "single." When asked if there was any physical intimacy between her and Cowell, she wasn't as revealing.

Bush asked if there has been any "lip to lip" action between the two.

"Maybe," she replied.

She was then asked if there was any "horizontal" time with Cowell. "Maybe," she said again. "He's so cute," she added. "He's adorable, he's actually a sweetheart. I really like him; I think he's very cool."

Electra then explained how the pair became so close before she paid him compliments. "We started to hang out, we've become friends, I think he's a great guy."

Electra released her latest single, "I Like It Loud," on November 13 and has been appearing on her recurring role on "90210" on CW.

Cowell has had success not only as the executive producer of "The X Factor" but as a mentor with one of the contestants on the show. One of his groups, Fifth Harmony, a group of five female singers, are one of the three finalists to appear tonight in the Top 3 Finale Live Results show of "The X Factor."

The season finale of "The X Factor" airs at 8/7 c on FOX on Dec. 20.
