One Direction singer Zayn Malik prefers to pack light when traveling with his band and performing across the world, and fellow 1D singer Louis Tomlinson said that its because Malik prefers to just steal other people's clothes instead of packing his own.

Malik told MTV News he does not fuss much about packing for long extending trips with the band, even while on tour. He confessed that he instead borrows from Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Liam Payne.

"[I steal their stuff] all the time. I'm the biggest culprit for that. I steal everyone's stuff," he said. "I can never be bothered, like, taking a big suitcase. I nick all the other boys' clothes."

Chimming in, Tomlinson said he could not understand how Malik travels so lightly. He said, "Yeah 'cause Zayn's, like, come away with just a little bag. I've never understood it."

Though he likes to not pack clothes with him, Malik, 19, has been willing to make large purchases this year for himself. He bought a Bentley Continental, which is priced around $189,900, and a Hertfordshire home in Northern London that he reportedly paid $2 million euros for.

Earlier in December, he and Tomlinson called tattoo artist John Bahel to come to their New York City hotel room give them new tattoos. The 19-year-old has now a total of nine tattoos, including an outline of a clothing hanger and his upper left arm and Arabic inscription on his collarbone. Tomlinson's new tattoo is also on his right forearm, adding to a flock of birds, a stick figure on a skateboard with the word "OOPS!" and "far away" on his right arm.

1D will begin their second headlining world tour on Feb. 23 in London, England. The 100-plus show tour will take the band to countries including Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Australia, the U.S. and Canada.
