Awards shows generall tend to make for interesting TV, with people constantly buzzing the next day about the winners, the snubs, the speeches and the fashion. But sometimes, a lasting impression comes from the opening number or monologue. And Andy Samberg's opening number for the 67th annual Primetime Emmys on Sept. 20 was actually...really good.

Samberg certainly knows how to crack jokes (being on SNL for eight years is no minor accomplishment and the show is known for turning out some of the best comedy actors and actresses)--but his song and dance movie, which featured him going from a guy who watched absolutely no TV and was behind on literally everything, became a guy who was so well-versed in all TV because he holed up in a bunker for a year (and emerged smelling like he hadn't showered for the entire time), that he was asked to become the host for the Emmy's. And not only was it funny because he managed to put in that he was qualified because he "done watched every d--n show," but he managed to make fun of sexism, racism and all kinds of discrimination still in Hollywood by throwing in a taunt about how he also got the gig because of his skin color.
