On Saturday, Carter Matt shared a synopsis for the next episode when Danny receives a scary message from someone after he and Baez investigate a possible serial killer. It's not known what this message is, but it'll probably send chills down the detective's spine.

Erin is also going to consider applying for a judgeship while Frank gets in a mix when the mayoral candidate Katherine Tucker accuses him of investigating her husband. Eddie is also going to visit her estranged father when he winds up in the hospital.

A future episode of the crime drama will involve a possible car chase when a fancy Mustang goes missing. According to Yahoo! TV, there's a chance that the wife of the car's owner may have something to do with it as the detectives track it down.

The car owner will be played by Anthony Edwards, someone the crew is happy to have on board.

"We offered [the role] to Anthony, our first choice, because he's a terrific actor with an innate talent for drawing empathy and relatability from the audience," executive producer Kevin Wade said. "We are thrilled that he's joining us for this story."

In 2013, Blue Bloods was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Coordination for a Drama Series (Cort Hessler).

The series airs on Fridays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
