Erik Roner Wife: 'Nitro Circus' Star Dies In Skydiving Accident, Leaves Two Children Behind [PHOTOS, VIDEO]
Erik Roner died tragically on Monday, leaving his wife and two children behind.

According to reports, Roner, who starred on MTV's Nitro Circus, was participating in a group skydiving event during a golf charity in Lake Tahoe, Calif., when he hit a tree while attempting to land.
“We at MTV and MTV2 are saddened to hear about Erik’s passing, and will miss the boundless energy, fearlessness and good vibes he brought to our audience," MTV said in a statement on Monday. "Our hearts go out to his friends and family.”

Following news of Roner's death, Johnny Knoxville, creator of Nitro Circus, released a statement on Twitter.

Roner's Nitro Circus co-star, Chad Kagy, also spoke out, telling fans on Facebook, "We lost a member of our Nitro Circus family today. We are all heart broken and surprised to lose Erik Roner. We love you Rubs and are sending our best to Anika, Oskar, and Kasper."
After hitting a tree while skydiving, Roner was said to have been left stranded, but while authorities attempted to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene a short while later.
