There is one Outlander character that's sure to steal your heart in season 2: Bouton the dog is set to make his debut when Jamie and Claire head to Paris.

The pup, which belongs to Mother Hildegard at Paris' L'Hopital des Anges, as already waltz into the hearts of the series' producers. This spring, the pint-sized canine will do the same to viewers.

"I was going to say [Mother Hildegard]," executive producer Ron Moore told Zap2It at Diego Comic-Con when asked which season 2 character fans should look forward to the most. "But I think now I'll say Bouton. I think they'll be most excited to see Bouton."

The series' is currently on a brief filming break following a stint in Prauge, and executive producer Maril Davis took advantage of this lull to answer a few Twitter questions. When asked which season 2 scenes she has enjoyed the most, Davis was quick with her answer.

"Can't get too specific but any scene with Bouton is a winner! ;)," Davis teased.
