It seems like all that buzz surrounding the Lucille Ball movie with names like Aaron Sorkin and Cate Blanchett attached to the project is not valid.

In a recent interview Sorkin clarified that he was not officially on board. Speaking to Cinema Blend while promoting his latest film, Steve Jobs, Sorkin suggested that he wasn't sure if he would be taking on the project.

"The press kinda jumped the gun on the Lucy and Desi story," he said. "I'm not sure yet that I'm doing it. I hope I do it. I think there's a fantastic story there, and if I do it, I'll start doing research and I'll be able to answer your question."

Sorkin also revealed that he will be busy working on another biopic, so even if he were to take on the Lucille Ball adaptation, it might have to wait. Sorkin told the entertainment website that he has just completed the script for a film about Molly Bloom.

"It's another true story, it's non-fiction, and it's about a woman named Molly Bloom, a kind of extraordinary woman who continues to lead a very interesting life," he said. "But she ended up running the world's most high-stakes poker game. And that screenplay is done, and I'm just in the process now of putting the whole thing together."

Meanwhile, there is no word from Blanchett either. The actress has lately gotten rave reviews for her film, Carol, in which she co-stars with Rooney Mara.

The movie will hit theaters on November 20.
