A man has set his girlfriend on fire after they fought at a laundromat. Dexter Oliver, 22, and his girlfriend Starr Lamare, 25, disputed whether to leave their clothes at the laundromat. Lamare had wanted to leave her clothes behind but Oliver did not want to, which enraged him and lead him to douse his girlfriend with gasoline and set her on fire.

"He got mad and threw the clothes down," Precious Craig, Lamare's sister told KGO-TV in San Francisco.

The incident happened Sunday afternoon. Oliver left the laundromat and returned with gasoline, and doused his girlfriend. Witnesses recalled seeing the victim running down the street, taking off her burning sweater. Emergency units quickly arrived at the scene and she was taken to St. Francis Hospital.

Lamare is in critical condition with most of her face burned but is expected to recover. "Most of her face is burnt," Craig said. "Just a little bit of hair is still there, but most of her face is burned."

The San Francisco police continues to search for the 22-year-old San Francisco man who faces charges for attempted murder and arson.

A photo released by police shows Oliver standing at 5-feet-10, weighing 155 pounds. He has a fish pattern on one side of his hair and a lightning bolt on the other side and has been described as wearing a red and white hoodie on the day of the attack.

The pair had been dating for six months, according to family members.
